Implementation
Implementing a new business system doesn’t have to be a challenge. With an implementation methodology that has been proven and perfected over 30 years of industry experience, ECi helps you get the maximum benefit from your technology investment.
Average implementation times run between 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the size of your business, your training requirements, and the amount of data you want to convert.
New Customer Training
We’ll assign an implementation specialist to get you up and running on OMD as soon as possible. In-depth software training is provided through a combination of webinars and phone-based training sessions. Training is conducted using your own business data as an illustrative tool, and is designed to help your staff become immediately productive with the software.
In addition to basic software training, your implementation specialist will answer questions, help you customize the software’s numerous options and preferences, and help you set up your hardware in OMD.
As a new ECi customer, you also receive one, four-day on-site training and one year of free training webinars!
- An experienced OMD trainer will come to your site to provide additional software training and help you set up the software to match your business flow.
- OMD hosts weekly training webinars. These webinars supplement our basic software training, providing more in-depth instruction in specific topics. You can participate in as many of these webinars as you wish during your first year as an OMD customer at no additional cost.
Data Conversion

OMD Training Classes
ECi offers training classes for both new and existing OMD customers. Classes are held in the dedicated training facility at our Jefferson City, MO facility (the headquarters of our OMD business unit) and offer hands-on instruction in a focused environment, free from the distractions of your normal workday.
These classes are the perfect training opportunity for dealers who :

To minimize disruptions of your business and time away from work, we make our specialists available for on-site training sessions. A low-cost, timesaving alternative to traditional classroom training, webinars supplement our OMD Training Classes by offering web-based instruction on specific system topics. Administered remotely by one of our experienced instructors, class content is displayed via the Internet while you interact with the instructor and the other students in teleconference.
Training webinars are offered on a weekly basis with content covering a wide range of topics. These Web-based classes are an excellent opportunity to train a large number of employees cost effectively with a minimal time investment and no travel costs.

Custom webinars
Some companies need training tailored to their specific needs, or that is tightly focused on specific software features, but don’t have the budget to bring a trainer on site. Custom webinars offer an effective (and cost-effective) alternative.

Special Project Support
Regular business hours aren’t necessarily the best time for software tasks such as updating inventory, performing system maintenance or loading software updates. Wouldn’t it be nice to have support available whenever you need it, regardless of whether it 10 a.m. on a Saturday or 10 p.m. on a Tuesday? With OMD, you can. Multiple Branch/Remote Site Installations
The OMD system supports multiple branch and remote site installations. The configuration for hardware, software and communication connections to facilitate remote sites can vary depending upon the operating system selected, the availability of local communication network support and the communication products from your local phone company. We recommend contacting your local providers to determine the most efficient and costeffective method of supporting remote sites.
