“We are on the La Crosse System (character based) and it was a painless process to add freight or fuel surcharges to the maintenance agreement invoices. LMS sells a contract freight program and it drops a charge into each invoice based on percentage or base amount dependent upon the criteria input. The program paid for itself in less then 60 days. We charge freight based on a percentage of the subtotal of the invoice. We started with 2 percent when we first purchased the program and recently have raised the freight charge to 3 percent. This increase has not been noticed by any of the customers. We do get questions about the freight charge on the invoices, but once explained there are no additional issues. For those customers that did not want the freight included in their bill, we changed their contracts to not bill the freight. We charge those customers per shipment for supplies and there is an additional handling fee applied to those invoices.”

I have found the use of grids to be particularly useful with the new system. We are now able to access every major part of the contract from one screen. I also really like that I can access invoices and meter readings right from work with contracts. The meter reading grid has been very useful for my sales force. I am able to copy and paste everything right into an Excel spreadsheet for them. This saves a tremendous amount of time for me. I also like the parameters option when the billing is done. I have several different sort groups, and to bill by parameters saves me time as well.”
